paying for Care
Where to start?
There are many different ways that home care is funded and the journey through the funding maze can sometimes be very confusing.
The first step to take is to find out if the person who will be receiving the care is eligible for local authority funding. The current thresholds for eligibility can be found on the finance section of the First Stop website: http://www.firststopcareadvice.org.uk
If you are not eligible for local authority funding then you might still be eligible for NHS Continuing Health Care Funding if you have ongoing healthcare needs.
If you are not eligible for either local authority or NHS finding then you will probably need to pay for care yourself and it is a good idea to speak to a financial advisor to ensure that you are structuring your finances in the best way possible.
Paying for home care yourself
Paying for care yourself is very straightforward. We provide you with the assistance that you need and we send an invoice to you every 2 weeks that you can pay by cheque, bank transfer or standing order.
If you would like to discuss your care needs in more detail or to find out exactly how much care would cost for you then please contact us and we will be able to provide you with more information based on your personal situation and, if you would like us to, we can arrange for one of our team to come out and see you in your own home where you can ask as many questions as you like and this is, of course, free of charge.
